The MS Recovery Diet

MS recovery diet and non-food allergins

HAs anyone any information regarding non-food allergins and how their MS is behaving? In June 2009 I got a shit zu poodle cross . I have benn allergic to dogs, cats, ferrets and everything else with hair/fur but I noticed absolutely no reaction to poodle crosses or this particular dog. By 11/08 I could hardly walk and I fell 12/08. In Jan 09 I became unable to work, used a wheel chair, applied for disability and moved back with my mom. I still have my dog-Leo and he is the reason I got (and get) out of bed in the morning- who else will potty him, feed him , etc. I am also allergic to blue grass and some other outside stuff. I don't see an obvious connection between him and my MS. Every year around the begining of Sept I have a flair up, it was worse then usual this year but they may be because the disease is progressing.
What is your experience with non-food allergins and your MS ?????

Strict Diet Guidelines

Hi everyone I have been following the diet for quite some time now and still seem to be slowly getting worse, however I have had a lot of stress recently, am very thin and seem to have a stubborn candida infection. I recently noticed a reaction following white potates - sugar? so have decided to go very strict with lean protein and non starchy vegetables only. I have been doing this for 4 days and feel much worse, is this a good sign? I am worried about how to maintain my weight. Has anybody any ideas on what might help retain or increase my weight or suggestions on sample diet for a day, I know many of you have had success this route. Any help would be gratefully appreciated, I am finding it all a bit tough right now and desperately need something postive.

sugar

I'm confused about the type of sugar I'm using. I only use Argarve Necter and I eat a lot of fruit to satisfy my sweet tooth, is this a problem? I have not seen any positive results from the diet and maybe it's because of my fruit intake. I'm also concerned about my intake of essenstial oils. I understand the 15% of saturated oil but that include the good oils as well, such as flax seed oil, and olive oil? If anybody knows the answer to these questions please respond. Thanks, Vikki
