We have done several presentations since our book was released on September 20; one at a local MS support group, one at our first book signing in Woodstock, NY, and one at a workshop through the dance department at Bennington College focusing on movement in recovery from MS. The responses were universally wonderful. MS people are positively hungry for the real help and hope that we offer. Others were interested in the book for a variety of reasons: everyone knows someone with MS and books were purchased to give to them, people are very eager for information about nutrition and are interested to see how they can apply it in their own lives, and everyone is moved to hear a story of success and healing. After these experiences, we realized how much pent up demand there is for our message. We need help in getting the word out to maximize this opportunity to really change lives, and beyond that get this message into the infrastructure and institutions of health care so it is not dependent on our voice alone. To that end, we say thank you to those of you already on the diet and encourage you to become living examples to others who do not know or believe that changing what you eat can serve to heal the symptoms of MS. Let us know via our email info@msrecoverydiet.com if you have suggestions about where we can do more presentations. Included here are some photos of "the authors" at their book signing on September 30th and from the presentation at Bennington College with Maiya Greaves, body worker and Bennnington graduate ‘88. Thanks, Ann and Judi |
