I've been following the MS Recovery Diet for almost 2 1/2 years now... with great success. I am STILL amazed at the distinct (& usually very fast) correlation between what I eat and how I feel. I am definitely committed to the diet. However, I was just looking over our credit card bill, and categorizing and adding everything up (which I don't always do)... I know that our grocery bill is second to our mortgage, but was astonished to see that we had spent $670 on groceries last month (family of four)! Now, that did include two or three holiday meals, but even so... Ack! What do you do to keep your grocery bill lower?
I haven't had a chance to do this yet, but a friend of mine (a SUPER-couponer... the kind that gets $ back), suggested e-mailing some of the brands I use, explaining that I am following a special diet, and that it is really hard to find coupons... can they do anything to help. So, I would like to try that sometime, but was wondering what any of you might do to help keep things from getting out of control. I should also add, that there are months where costs are much lower, and then it seems like I run out of almost everything at once, and have to go on a buying binge. But still... any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
Many thanks!
