I have weakness in my legs bladder frequency, urgency and incontenceand floaters in my vision0 I know the foods trigger my symptoms are gluten and yeast.. My question is; Is there a company that make meals for people with food sensitivies like ours? Like Meals on Wheels?
Thanks
Hi there. I don't know of
Hi there. I don't know of any company that makes foods for specific needs. BUT there are recently several gluten free options in the groceries. Or you could also try shopping online for some foods that might make things easier. If you are only trying to avoid gluten and yeast, you should be able to find some easy to substitute foods. . .Tinkyada rice pastas are great--they don't get all gloopy like some of the others. You could also try Van's or Food for Life--both make bread type items--wheat free and gluten free breads, many of which do not have any yeast, breakfast waffles. As for other cooking, I find that when I cook, I try to make enough for the next day, as well. . .with the salad and veggie items needing to be prepared only. This way, I'm not using valuable energy to work at a stove every day. Baked chicken is a great thing to make that can be used on salads or with a side of rice pasta or a brown rice and some veggies. Try some fish with quinoa on the side. Eat a couple pieces of Food for Life bread (if you find one that meets all of your needs) for breakfast as your toast. Substitutions like this can help. Also, I use Bob's Red Mill products--they are great--millet cereal, brown rice flour to use as "breading" for baked "fried" chicken and so on. Once you build up your collection of substitutes, it makes it easier. Also, try buckwheat flour--make your own muffins and freeze them--they're great as a fast breakfast or with a salad. Be sure tot read all labels, because you just never know! Hope this helps! Good luck!
