Honey

Is honey an exceptable sweetner on the MS diet?

I am also frustrated, I have

I am also frustrated, I have been on the ms recovery diet for 2 and a half mos. and feel worse than I did before the diet. I can't tell what foods are bothering me because I don't feel good since starting the diet, and I have been very compliant with not eating of the restricted foods, but my legs feel heavy and my energy is low....any suggestions?

Hi there! I don't know how

Hi there! I don't know how honey impacts MS. My gut feel is that it is pretty sweet and could cause problems if you are sensitive to sugars. I use a VERY, VERY--like a sprinkle-- small bit of Stevia in baking, if absolutely necessary. Also, I use a medium or dark amber maple syrup (we happen to live in a big maple syrup area) on my hot cereal in the morning. It makes it taste like a dessert to me, and I don't need to use much at all. I think because it has the maple flavor to it AND the sweet kick, I don't need to use much at all (maybe a teaspoon or two??) to get a satisfying sweet sensation out of it. Anyway, that is all the sugar that I use. . . I hope you find what works for you. justme
